A Ukrainian company has resumed supplying pipe for one of the largest oil-producing companies in the Middle East.
The Interpipe company has resumed the supply of steel pipes to Qatar Petroleum, one of the largest oil-producing companies in the region.
Interpipe began cooperating with Qatar Petroleum in 2020, but pipe supplies were suspended after Russian troops invaded Ukraine. Last year, Interpipe resumed its cooperation with Qatar Petroleum. By the end of the year, more than 4,000 tons of linear seamless pipes had been shipped, which will be used in the Dukhan Field Flowlines project to lay pipelines in the Dukhan oil and gas basin.
Qatar Petroleum has some of the strictest technical requirements in the Middle East, noted Artem Artemov, Interpipe’s top manager. According to him, the successful execution of the contract will allow participation in the further stages of the Dukhan Field Flowlines project and will help retrain other oil and gas companies in Qatar.
