A swarm of kamikaze drones attack Russia, closing Moscow airports.

Russian official sources said it shot down 144 drones on the night of September 10, including in the Moscow region. Moscow’s Domodedovo, Vnukovo, and Zhukovsky airports have temporarily suspended operations. In the Bryansk region, which borders Ukraine, air defenses shot down 72 drones, and another 14 were eliminated in the Kursk region.

In total, nine regions of the Russian Federation reported attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles. Residents reported strikes on residential buildings, airports, and energy facilities. As a result of this attack, according to the Russians, a woman died. The drones could have targeted high-rise apartment buildings due to Russian electronic warfare or other air defenses.

On the same night, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with 46 kamikaze drones and missiles of various types. Ukrainian air defenses managed to destroy 38 attack drones. The attack targeted civilian energy infrastructure in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions.
