A startup that counters disinformation campaigns raises $1.6M and plans to scale.

Ukrainian startup LetsData, which uses artificial intelligence to detect disinformation campaigns, has raised $1.6M in a pre-seed round led by SMOK Ventures, with participation from Wayra, Tilia Impact Ventures, 1991 Ventures, Google’s Ukraine Support Fund, and Startup Wise Guys. Angel investors also contributed to the total. The startup plans to use the funds to scale its technology in the US and EU markets. LetsData uses AI to analyze open-source data on over 100 million websites and social networks, covering over 50 languages and regions. Through semantic analysis, LetsData groups and connects content from different sources, determining the intentions and coordination of information operations. This allows it to detect 80% more threats at an initial stage than traditional tools. The startup aims to become the industry standard for detecting information operations and change the approach to analysis, enabling organizations to respond to threats quickly and effectively.
