A relocated company is launching a wind farm in Transcarpathia.
As Olha Poshtak, the top manager of the Friendly Wind Technology company reported: “The installation of the first wind turbine of the Ostrovsky wind farm, located in the Nizhnyovoritsk community, has been completed. The wind turbine has an installed unit capacity of 4.8 MW”.
According to her, this wind energy project is being implemented by the Wind Parks of Ukraine company, which moved to Transcarpathia from the east of the country after the invasion.
The windmill is the first of ten that are planned to be installed. The project to install the second windmill is undergoing an environmental impact assessment procedure. As noted, the installed windmill is not yet operating because it is not connected to the grid.
The total installed capacity of the planned wind farm will be 80 MW. The electricity that will be produced is enough to supply 50,000 households annually.
