A Polish company invests over $110,000 in the joint production of UAVs with various applications and anti-drone systems alongside a Ukrainian partner.

Polish energy firm Unimot has invested PLN 400,000 (over $110,000) in newly formed company PZL Defence, which will focus on developing and manufacturing UAVs and anti-drone systems. “We see the growing importance of unmanned technologies for regional security. Therefore, we are joining a project that combines Polish engineering and the unique Ukrainian experience gained in real combat conditions,” said Unimot CEO Adam Sikorski.
After registering PZL Defence, Unimot will hold 40% of the shares, PZL Sędziszów will hold 10%, and the Ukrainian partner will hold 50%. The project aims to produce civilian drones initially, and later, military UAVs and anti-drone systems designed to safeguard critical infrastructure. Additionally, PZL Defence will establish an R&D center for the development of reconnaissance, interceptor, and kamikaze drones, as well as anti-drone weapons.
