By 2025, Ukraine’s largest fuel company, OKKO, plans to build a 150 MW wind farm in the Volyn region. The head of OKKO, Vasyl Danylyak, said that the company purchased an energy storage project with a capacity of 20 MW. Currently, OKKO is looking for opportunities to buy solar power plants.
“If we have an offer to purchase 100 MW stations, we will buy 100 MW. If we can find 150 MW, that is also good,” he said.
Implementing the project will allow OKKO to become one of the three leaders of Ukrainian wind energy when counting only the wind stations located on Ukrainian-controlled territory.
At the same time, the MHP agricultural holding also plans to build a 60 MW wind power plant by the end of 2025.
