A dozen countries are ready to send peacekeeping troops to Ukraine.

Ukraine’s key allies are continuing discussions regarding a potential peacekeeping mission in the country if a peace deal is reached. The coalition includes European nations, Canada, and Australia, but not the US. Ukraine stresses the significance of having foreign troops on land, in the air, and at sea to maintain peace.

According to Politico, around a dozen countries may be willing to join the coalition and send troops to Ukraine, including the Baltic and Northern European nations. However, many countries, including the UK, hesitate to deploy troops without US support.

The Belgian prime minister stated during a recent visit to Kyiv that Belgium would be ready to participate in a peacekeeping mission if other European countries agree to it; the Belgian government will focus on engaging with Britain, France, and Germany.

Ukraine continues to advocate for a peacekeeping mission, despite challenges in reaching an agreement on the specifics of coordinating military and political aspects before making any decisions.
