A diplomat reveals the conditions for Ukraine receiving €50B from the EU and suggests a possible revision of the amount.
Permanent representative of Ukraine to the EU Vsevolod Chentsov, answering questions about the conditions European partners are preparing to put forward to Kyiv for receiving €50B over four years, noted that “one hundred percent there will be no unexpected things”.
“I don’t want to rush ahead because the plan must be approved by the EC and member states. But in many of these directions, which are being discussed, we have made significant progress. These are judicial reform, institutional stability, and administrative reforms”.
He added that the EU’s €50B financial instrument will be linked to the economic development and recovery plan. He also admitted that the EU may reconsider increasing the aid to Ukraine.
“I think that Ukraine will receive more than €50B because, in two years, the ambassador noted there is a possibility of revising this instrument.”
