A bill for further Ukrainian military support and its reconstruction has been introduced in the US Congress.

Democratic Representative Gregory Meeks presented this bill, which outlines financial aid for Kyiv’s post-war reconstruction. According to Reuters, the document also seeks to dedicate funds to purchase weapons and military equipment for Ukraine and to implement additional sanctions against the Russian Federation. However, the bill has not yet been officially made public. This submission came two weeks after Senate Republicans and Democrats introduced a separate bill imposing sanctions on Russia, contingent on its participation in peace talks with Ukraine.

Concurrently, President Zelenskyy stated that Kyiv has received a total of $100B in aid from Washington, with approximately $65-67B allocated directly to Ukraine in the form of weapons and funds, including around $35B in macro-financial assistance. The remaining funds have stayed in the US and Europe to facilitate the transportation of military aid to Ukraine and to support the operation of several European offices for relevant US programs.
