Ukraine’s largest agricultural holding completes its acquisition of one of Spain’s largest meat producers with plans to boost exports.

Ukraine’s largest poultry producer, MHP, has finalized a deal to acquire over 92% of UVESA Group’s authorized capital, making it a leader in the Spanish food industry. The transaction was officially concluded after obtaining all necessary permits from Ukrainian, Spanish, and European regulatory authorities. As a result, MHP now oversees the company’s main processes and operations, which focus on poultry and pork production.

“We have finalized the deal and are moving to the UVESA integration stage”, said MHP founder Yuriy Kosyuk.

The integration will involve harmonizing operations, sharing expertise, and investing in efficiency and innovation. Both companies plan to explore new export opportunities and expand their presence in the European and Middle Eastern markets. Uvesa expects that the Ukrainian company’s purchase will serve as a strong boost for its growth. MHP is one of Ukraine’s largest agriculture holdings, with facilities in Ukraine, the Balkans, and subsidiaries in the Netherlands, Britain, and Saudi Arabia.
