The Ukrainian government is launching a grant program to establish a complete explosives production cycle.

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a new grant competition under the Brave1 project to develop a full explosives manufacturing cycle in Ukraine, announced Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko. The initiative’s main aim is to achieve a full production cycle. According to her, “everything – from equipment to chemical components – must be produced in Ukraine systematically and in the required volumes”.

The grant competition includes technical expertise from Ukraine’s security and defense agencies, control testing, and a transparent competitive process. Detailed information about the funding amounts and conditions will be provided by the Ministry of Digital Transformation’s team.

The prime minister highlighted that this reflects a new approach to the partnership between the state and the market, where the government supports companies that significantly influence the course of the war.

Over 560 defense tech projects have already been funded through the Brave1 platform, totaling more than ₴2.2B ($52M).
