Zelenskyy proposes new deals to Trump at the NATO Summit.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed purchasing American air defense systems and collaborating on drone production with US President Donald Trump.

“Ukraine is prepared to buy this equipment and support American arms manufacturers. The Ukrainian leader added that Europe can assist as well. He also mentioned the possibility of co-producing drones between both states. We can strengthen each other,” Zelenskyy shared, describing his conversation with Trump during the NATO summit.

The Ukrainian president also updated Trump on the battlefield situation, stating, “Putin is definitely not winning. I presented Trump with the facts of what is really happening on the ground,” Zelenskyy said.

Trump responded at the Alliance summit by highlighting the importance of rebuilding the defense-industrial base in the US and allied nations, emphasizing that dependence on foreign adversaries for critical minerals is unsustainable.

“We cannot rely on foreign adversaries for critical minerals, and we have an agreement with Ukraine to use much of their territory for mineral extraction,” he noted.
