The Russian military-industrial complex has reached its maximum capacity for producing armored vehicles; North Korea helps to increase weapons production for the aggressor.

A senior NATO official told reporters at the NATO summit that the Russian military-industrial complex is probably currently at its peak and will be able to sustain this level for at least another year. Russia currently produces about 130 tanks per month, or roughly 1,600 annually. Most of these are modernized or restored older tank models. The Russian Federation also has approximately 2,000 old tanks, though some are only suitable for spare parts.

Additionally, Russia can produce approximately 183 infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers each month. However, the official noted there is no reason to expect further growth in production.

Meanwhile, analysts’ observations suggest that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has ordered the construction of the largest military plant in DPRK history. Construction has already begun, and the facility is being built adjacent to an existing defense plant. All signs point to the new plant’s products being exported to Russia.
