Ukraine, with sufficient funding, can manufacture around eight million drones each year.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy declared at the Defense Industry Forum in the Netherlands that “Our defense industry’s potential exceeds €35B, yet 40% remains unfunded, which is a major issue. For instance, we could produce approximately eight million diverse drones annually, but current funding supports a much smaller quantity.”
He pointed out that Russia not only relies on oil revenue for aggression but also leverages resources from Iran, North Korea, and foreign companies. “Our solidarity is the best response to Russia’s military network,” he added.
Zelenskyy advocates for Ukraine to take the lead in drone production – both strike and interception – while continuing to develop other weapons. He urged Ukraine’s partners to boost funding for joint weapons manufacturing. “All weapons produced will strengthen Europe and its security,” he concluded.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Putin intends to prolong the war and is preparing for new military actions, possibly targeting NATO countries.
