The Ukrainian Parliament has passed a law regarding multiple citizenship.

This is a significant change, as Ukrainian law had prevented individuals from holding citizenship from more than one country, which forced Ukrainians to renounce their citizenship in order to acquire a foreign passport, and required foreigners to do the same to hold a Ukrainian passport. This new law will allow Ukrainians to legally receive a passport from another country without renouncing their Ukrainian citizenship and enable foreigners to obtain Ukrainian citizenship without relinquishing their native countries’ passports.
The Ukrainian Parliament’s approval paves the way for Ukrainian refugees to retain their nationality and eventually return home, while also encouraging those of Ukrainian descent to apply for citizenship. The law simplifies procedures for children born to Ukrainian parents abroad and for Ukrainians acquiring additional citizenship through marriage.
Foreigners seeking Ukrainian citizenship will need to pass a test demonstrating knowledge of the Ukrainian language, history, and constitution. Furthermore, the law will facilitate the process for foreign volunteers fighting for the country to become Ukrainian citizens. However, several officials have stated that they would only recognize a Ukrainian holding multiple passports as a Ukrainian.
