Ukraine maintains a leading position in agricultural exports to the EU.

In 2024, Ukraine entered the top three of the largest exporters of agricultural products to the EU, ranking third with an export volume of €13.1B, which accounts for 6.7% of total agricultural imports to the European Union, according to Eurostat data.

Brazil became the largest supplier of agricultural products to the EU last year, exporting €17.1B (8.8%). Ukraine is also behind Britain (8.5%, €16.6B). The United States follows with 6.1%, or €12B.

Last year, the EU exported agricultural products worth €234.1 billion and imported €194.9B. Compared to 2023, exports and imports increased by 2.8% and 6.7%, respectively. Between 2014 and 2024, the volume of agricultural trade in the European Union increased by 59%. In particular, exports grew by 58% and imports by 60.2%.

Last year, the UK became the main destination for EU agricultural exports, accounting for 23% of the total (€54B). The US, Switzerland, and China followed next.
