Russia declared a three-day “truce” but has continued to attack Ukraine.

At midnight on May 8, Russia announced the start of a three-day truce with Ukraine, lasting from May 8 to midnight on May 11, to mark the 80th anniversary of the Allied victory in World War II. However, just a few hours earlier on May 7, Russian troops launched drones at the Cherkasy region, targeting Uman and nearby villages, damaging an educational institution.
Additionally, the aggressor forces dropped a high-explosive aerial bomb on a residential multi-story building in Konstyantynivka, Donetsk region, injuring 12 people.
On the morning of May 8, the occupiers launched guided aerial bombs at the Bilopillya district in the Sumy region, damaging the residential area. However, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not record any launches of Russian drones or missiles at Ukrainian cities overnight, except for the KABs attack on the Sumy region.
Meanwhile, on May 8, Russian troops continued their assaults along the entire front line, resulting in at least 117 combat clashes over the course of the day.
Ukraine is sharing information about the violation of the truce with the US, Europe, and other states and international organizations.
