Starmer to convene military officials to develop a peace deal and security guarantees for Ukraine.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that military officials will meet on March 20 to discuss a potential peace agreement in the Russia-Ukraine war and create practical plans for how foreign militaries can bolster Ukraine’s future security.
“We will strengthen our defenses and those of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and will be prepared to deploy a coalition of the willing in the event of a peace agreement to help safeguard Ukraine on land, at sea, and in the air,” the British Prime Minister stated.
In the meantime, French President Emmanuel Macron mentioned that several European and non-European countries have shown interest in joining a coalition to send troops to Ukraine. According to Macron, the aim is not to deploy European troops en masse, but to “send several thousand troops from each country to key locations” to enhance Ukrainian defenses.
“We are registering the strategic presence of NATO member countries in Ukrainian territory, which serves as a guarantee of security,” Macron emphasized.
