EU countries will provide Ukraine with an additional €15B.

Several EU countries have pledged to provide Ukraine with additional financial assistance of €15B, European Council President Antonio Costa said after an EU summit in Brussels. The decision is part of the EU’s efforts to support Ukraine, which has already received €135B from the bloc since the start of the full-scale war. In addition, EU leaders instructed the European Commission to develop new initiatives aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities and meeting its urgent military needs.

Costa stressed that the EU will remain on Ukraine’s side not only during the war, but also in the process of rebuilding the country and integrating into the EU. The EU is also preparing to support Ukraine in the event of peace negotiations. According to the European Council President, the EU’s main goal is to ensure a just and lasting peace.
