Trumps statements concerning Ukraine are not justified: How much money has the US actually spent on Ukraine during the three-year war?

Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the US Congress has allocated around $183B to Ukraine, not $350B as President Donald Trump claims, according to data from the interagency oversight group responsible for presenting reports to Congress. Of this amount, the US has sent $65.9B in military aid to Ukraine, and another $3.9B remains unspent.
About $58B has also been spent directly in the US – these funds were directed to the US defense industry. They were used to either replace old American weapons transferred to Kyiv with new American-made weapons, or to produce new weapons for Ukraine.
According to the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, the EU, the UK, Iceland, Norway, and Switzerland have allocated approximately $140B in aid to Ukraine, while the US has allocated about $120B in total aid, which includes military ($68.5B), humanitarian ($3.7B) and direct financial ($49.7B) support.
