UK Defence Secretary John Healey announced £4.5B ($5.6B) in military support for Ukraine, which includes the delivery of more than 10,000 drones by the end of March, with many already delivered over the past year. He also revealed £150M ($186M) in defense support for Ukraine, covering tanks, artillery, air-to-air missiles, and new contracts to repair crucial equipment.
At the same time, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that the alliance has not only met but surpassed the Washington summit’s €40B pledge to provide military aid to Ukraine.
“They have provided over €50B in military assistance, more than half of which comes from European allies and Canada. This is a clear signal of our unwavering commitment to Ukraine, and it also takes a major step toward what President Trump has suggested. I agree with him that we must align security assistance to Ukraine,” the secretary general emphasized.
