Can Ukraine use the Kursk region to bargain for its occupied territory? Zelenskyy says Trump has no plan to end the war.

The Telegraph believes that US President Donald Trump’s statements concerning his intention to take control of the Gaza Strip may indicate that to end the war in Ukraine, Vladimir Putin will have to return most of the occupied territories in exchange for Ukrainian-held land in the Kursk region to “save face” and secure his political future in the Kremlin.

At the same time, President Zelenskyy said that Trump does not have an official plan to end the war. In turn, Trump has made it known that wants to conclude a $500M deal with Zelenskyy for access to rare Ukrainian earth minerals and gas in exchange for security guarantees in a potential peace agreement.

Zelenskyy has his own vision of how to end the war and is convinced that the Russian Federation does not seek peace. The Ukrainian President’s statement is supported by Moscow’s attempts to increase its military army by more than 100,000 soldiers, which shows the Russian dictator is preparing to continue the war.
