The EU, along with two individual countries, are launching a €14M program to support Ukraine’s European integration.

In the presence of Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, Olga Stefanishyna, the EU, Denmark, and Lithuania reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Ukraine’s EU accession with their signature establishing the Ukraine2EU-EU Integration Support Programme for Ukraine. The initiative, funded by the EU, Denmark, and Lithuania, has a budget of €14M and will support Ukrainian institutions in managing the EU accession process and implementing necessary reforms.

“The future of Ukraine is in the EU, and this program will serve as the basis for assistance from the EU and its member states in helping Ukraine achieve this goal,” said EU Ambassador to Ukraine Katarina Mathernova.

The program aims to strengthen the capacity of key Ukrainian actors in managing EU accession negotiations, expand access to expertise in EU law, and raise awareness and understanding of the EU accession process in Ukrainian society. It will also support civil society organizations that are facilitating Ukraine’s EU accession.
