Trump said there was “some progress” in ending the Russian-Ukrainian war and warned to revoke permission for strikes deep into Russia.
US President-Elect Donald Trump noted that his team is currently working to end the Russian war against Ukraine, and there is already “some progress.” Trump stressed that “We have made some progress. The situation is complex and difficult.” He added that the number of military casualties on both sides is “astronomical,” and the real situation is much worse than reported.
The president-elect plans to talk with Zelenskyy and Putin to end the war. Trump also said that he may reconsider the Biden administration’s decision to allow Ukraine to use long-range weapons to strike deep into Russian territory.
“I don’t think they should have allowed missile strikes 300 kilometers into Russia. In my opinion, this is bad,” the Trump stressed.
He suggested that this could have caused North Korea to intervene in the war on the Russian side. However, the transfer of North Korean troops to the conflict zone happened even before the US made this decision.
