The fact that Russian authorities are concerned about the economic costs of continuing the war also supports the possibility of talks commencing soon.

Meanwhile, US Republican Senator Lindsey Graham called Ukraine “the richest country in Europe,” so, in his opinion, Trump is interested in Ukraine’s victory.

At the same time, the WP, citing analysts, notes that Trump will likely try to reach a quick agreement with Russia, but this step threatens severe territorial losses for Ukraine and could provoke aggression from other dictatorial regimes.
