Sweden and Lithuania are preparing investments in Ukrainian long-range weapon production.
Sweden will soon announce the allocation of substantial funds for the development and production of long-range weapons for Ukraine, announced Swedish Defense Minister Poul Jonson. He said investments based on the Danish model will allow Ukraine to launch mass production of its long-range missiles and strike UAVs.
Lithuania will also finance the production of Ukrainian long-range weapons as part of a long-term agreement with Ukraine, and the first tranche of €10M has already been agreed upon. The memorandum of understanding on creating a mechanism to support the Ukrainian Defense Forces through contributions to the Ukrainian defense industry opens up new opportunities for Lithuanian investments. Lithuania is directing funds to produce Ukrainian long-range weapons, particularly the Palyanytsia project. The country has also transferred a new batch of military aid, which includes weapons and ammunition.
In addition, the Canadian Air Force has transported nearly 10,000 tons of military assistance from Canada and its allies to Ukraine since March.
