Ukraine has already received $100B in external financing and has completed all tasks to receive a new tranche from the IMF.

Before the sixth review of the EFF’s (Extended Fund Facility) extended financing program, Ukraine had fulfilled all structural beacons by the end of October and all quantitative performance criteria by the end of September, Vladyslav Rashkovan, deputy executive director for Ukraine at the IMF, said during the EBA’s general meeting. According to the the program review, Ukraine can receive the seventh $1.1B tranche.

According to Rashkovan, the IMF looks at Ukraine positively, and the EFF program is at the center of Ukraine’s international financial support, amounting to more than $150B. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, this support has already exceeded $100B.

The IMF representative also commented on the possible reduction of support from the US: The recent visits by EU representatives to Kyiv, meetings between the leaders of France and Britain, and statements from other European leaders indicate that they are ready to replace American resources if necessary.
