Ukraine’s largest lead production plant and DTEK Skhidenergo are being liquidated.

The court opened bankruptcy proceedings and opened the liquidation procedure for the Svynets Specialized Enterprise from the Donetsk region. It was the largest producer of secondary lead and lead-containing alloys, ferronickel, tin, and polypropylene. An analysis of the plant’s financial statements for 2019-2021 reveals negative dynamics for the firm’s general indicators, operational losses, negative current assets, and unsatisfactory liquidity and solvency indicators.

The property manager noted that the large number of payables in the absence of a sufficient number of debtor assets indicates that restoring solvency through rehabilitation measures is impractical. The company’s creditor debt amounts to ₴241.2M.

The court also declared another company from the Donetsk region bankrupt and launched the liquidation procedure of DTEK Skhidenergo. It operated three power plants in the east of Ukraine – Zuyiv TPP (control over the asset was lost in 2017), Luhansk TPP (lost in February 2022 due to the occupation of Shchastya), and Kurakhiv TPP (inoperative since 2023 due to shelling).
