Ukrainian businesses continue to expand despite the war: What new shops and restaurants opened in Ukraine last week?
Retailer Varus returned to the development of its network in the Kyiv region, and on November 2 the company opened its first supermarket in the Varus Home format in Bilogorodka. The new store became the fourth unique shopping space using this format in the Varus network, and is focused on creating a comfortable environment for everyday shopping.
On October 31 in Kyiv, the Silpo chain launched a new supermarket focusing on molecular cuisine – a concept in which science meets cooking. The supermarket has an area of 1,700 square meters and a themed, science-related design.
As well, on November 1, the first KFC fast-food restaurant in Uzhhorod (Transcarpathia) opened its doors for business. It is located in the heart of the city, in the restored historic building of the Korona shopping center. The chain of restaurants has opened 63 establishments in Ukraine in 12 years. The new restaurant became the 15th to open in Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion.
