Ukraine exports about 40 million tons of grain this season, and the shipment rate has increased by 100%.

Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy Taras Vysotskyi stated: “Due to difficult climate conditions, this year’s harvest is somewhat smaller than last year’s. Also, there are no transitional residues from the previous period this year. Therefore, grain exports are estimated at 40 million tons, not a record volume. We are sure that the existing infrastructure, particularly the Danube region, land railways and roads, and the sea corridor, will allow this volume to be exported.”

Vysotskyi also commented on the preparations of Polish farmers to block the border at the Medyka checkpoint. The official confirmed that such statements were made, but work is ongoing to ensure they are not translated into concrete actions.

It should be noted that since the beginning of the 2024-2025 season through October 14 2024 Ukraine exported 12.04 million tons of grain and leguminous crops, of which 1.593 million tons were shipped in October. As of the same date last year, total shipments were estimated at 6.676 million tons and 7,000 tons in October.
