At the UN, the US Secretary of State calls for those who support and fuel Putin’s aggression – Iran, North Korea and China – to stop.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that to promote peace in Ukraine, it is necessary to stop Iran, North Korea, and China from enabling the Russian war machine. During his speech at the meeting of the UN Security Council, he recalled that Iran supplies UAVs to Russia, has built a factory for drone production, and just a few weeks ago “handed Russia hundreds of short-range ballistic missiles.” Meanwhile, North Korea is delivering trainloads of weapons and ammunition to Russia, including rocket launchers and millions of artillery shells. Their cooperation is mutually beneficial – North Korea and Iran also receive help from Russia.
China, in turn, is a leading supplier of machine tools, microelectronics, and other goods that Russia uses to rebuild, resupply, and strengthen its military machine and sustain its brutal aggression.
“Russia is fighting to conquer, Ukraine is fighting for survival. If other countries stop supporting Russia, Putin’s invasion will soon end,” Blinken emphasized.
