A Ukrainian military tech start-up that uses AI to automate drone attacks has attracted $2.7M from US funds.

Ukrainian start-up Swarmer, which uses AI technology called Styx that controls drones in a swarm, has attracted $2.7M in investments from R-G.AI, Radius Capital Ventures, Green Flag Ventures, and D3 Venture Capital Firm. The round was led by the American defense technology company R-G.AI.

The software, developed by the startup, integrates reconnaissance and attack UAVs into a network. Ukraine now uses over 50,000 drones per month, and the next step is to complement these drones with advanced technologies that reduce the number of people in the decision-making chain, saving soldiers’ lives and optimizing performance.

The investment from R-G.AI becomes part of a broader strategic agreement. It will be the first platform designed specifically to implement the capabilities of Swarmer products such as Trident OS and Styx AI, each of which has been successfully tested in more than 10,000 missions in a simulated environment and refined on the battlefield.
