Sweden allocates a new military aid package to Ukraine worth €113M that emphasizes production.

The Swedish government is entering a new stage of military support for Ukraine with greater attention paid to production, rather than donations. The new package includes the provision of arms, direct procurement, and financial contributions. Procurement will be carried out by either the Swedish military or the Swedish Defense Logistics Agency. These purchases will each amount to approximately SEK 600M (€52.4M).

The new package includes six additional Stridsbat 90-class amphibious assault boats, Robot System 70 anti-aircraft missile systems, guns and anti-tank mines, grenade launchers, and small-caliber ammunition.

As part of the same package, Sweden has allocated more than SEK 700M (€61.1M) in financial donations to funds and multilateral initiatives in 2024 for major joint purchases of arms and equipment.

Sweden has also allocated about SEK 2.3 billion (€200M) to purchase spare parts for JAS 39 Gripen fighters, which Ukraine may acquire in the future.
