Russia does not have enough soldiers for a counteroffensive in the Kursk region; Ukraine destroys a key bridge

According to the Estonian Ministry of Defense, information about a Russian counteroffensive is spreading in social networks. “However, in reality, there are still no signs that Russia has sufficient forces to deploy such significant actions,” the MoD emphasized. According to the WSJ, Russia withdrew 5,000 troops from Ukraine and sent them to the Kursk region to halt the Ukrainian offensive. However, more are needed to regain control of the territory. Moscow needs more than 20,000 trained soldiers to push the Ukrainians out of Russian territory. In addition, the Ukrainian military destroyed the bridge over the Seim River using HIMARS in the Glushki district of the Kursk Region and are targeting the neighboring bridge in the village of Zvanne. These bridges were used to transport supplies for the Russian army in the area, and the one destroyed was the most important of them. The loss of these bridges will allow the Ukrainian military to occupy the area south of the Seim River.
