The capital of Transcarpathia has become the housing construction leader among Ukrainian cities.

Uzhhorod is currently the leader among Ukrainian cities in housing construction, followed by Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv. Bucha and Irpin in the Kyiv region round out the top five cities, said the President of the Association of Real Estate Experts, Olena Haydamaha. Kyiv has dropped out of the ranking of leaders for construction speed.

As for the cost of apartments, the prices in the big cities, which are constantly under fire from Russian troops, have fallen even since the beginning of the full-scale invasion and are not increasing.

“Only in Dnipro have the prices not fallen, as well as in Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Kharkiv, but before that, they fell by more than 50%,” Haydamaha noted.

The largest price decrease was recorded in Odesa.

Meanwhile, since the beginning of the full-scale war, prices per square meter have increased the most in new buildings in the following cities: Chernivtsi (+29%), Rivne (+33%), Lviv (+42%), Uzhhorod (+50 %), and Ivano-Frankivsk (+53%).
