Agricultural exports brought 64% of Ukraine’s export earnings to Ukraine: Who bought the most Ukrainian goods?
According to the results of 2024’s first six months, Ukraine’s export of agricultural food products accounted for 64% of total exports ($12.45B). In January-June, EU countries purchased more than 50% of Ukrainian food exports for $6.285B, exceeding the corresponding period in 2023 by 4%. Asian countries bought $3.9B, 9% less than the last year, and the total share of Asian imports during this period was 31%. Export volumes to African countries amounted to $1.475B (+70%), comprising 12% of Ukraine’s total export of agricultural products.
The leading importer of Ukrainian farm products is Spain, with $1.518B and a 12% share of all imports in the geographical structure of our exports. The second position, with a share of 8%, is held by China – $946M, and the third place is Turkey, which imported $926M and has a share of more than 7%. Ukrainian exporters also received significant profits from Egypt ($910M), the Netherlands ($831M), Poland ($733M), Italy ($632M), Romania ($582M), Germany ($471M) and India ($351M).
