Britain promises to provide Ukraine with £3B of military support a year as long as it needs.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer told Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the NATO summit that the new government will stick to its plans to spend at least £3B every year on military support for Ukraine “as much as it takes.” Starmer confirmed that military aid would continue until at least 2030-2031. As of February 2022, the UK has already pledged almost £12B in support to Ukraine, of which £7.1B is military aid.

During the talks with Zelenskyy, Starmer emphasized that Ukraine is on an “irreversible” path to NATO membership. However, diplomats at the NATO summit said setting a firm timetable would benefit Putin. Instead, NATO intends to send a clear message.

“A message of unity and determination that we will support Ukraine by all possible means and for as long as it will be necessary to protect common values ​​and security,” the prime minister emphasized.

In addition, Britain will soon supply Ukraine with a new artillery package and 90 Brimstone missiles.
