The upcoming NATO Summit promises to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense.

US President Joe Biden will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Washington to discuss further support of Ukraine, the White House announced.

“If Putin thinks that he can survive a coalition of countries that support Ukraine, then he is deeply mistaken,” said a White House representative.

New steps to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense, military potential, and long-term defensive efforts to form a “bridge to NATO” will also be announced at the summit. This includes developing logistical support, defense institutions, and cooperation with NATO. New statements are also expected about the coalition established to provide Ukraine with F-16 aircraft.

Moreover, according to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, at the July 9-11 summit the Alliance seeks to build practical cooperative projects with South Korea to assist Ukraine.

“The flagship project is partly related to the medical education of Ukrainian soldiers and expanding the exchange of intelligence with South Korea,” Stoltenberg noted.
