Ukrainian munitions manufacturers will achieve a 25% profit, and France’s €200M grant will be used for defense needs.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that the government has approved a resolution establishing a profit margin of up to 25% of their cost for domestic ammunition manufacturers. He noted the success of involving the private sector in producing various types of drones.
“We set a rate of profitability for them at the level of 25%, and as a result, the production of drones in our country increased 100 times in a year.”
A similar decision was made regarding ammunition manufacturers.
“This will allow manufacturers to expand and modernize their lines. At the same time, we expect new companies and investments,” Shmyhal said.
In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers approved an intergovernmental agreement with France to provide a €200M grant for Ukraine to purchase equipment or services in the field of defense and security in 2024.
