The Swiss reveal the leading topics of the Peace Summit.

As noted by the Swiss MFA, the goal of the Peace Summit in Ukraine is to pave the way for the future peace process and develop the practical elements and procedure. All governments at the summit are invited to share their ideas and vision for a just and lasting peace in Ukraine.

The summit’s program is still in the developmental stage, but it is known that the event will include both “plenary exchanges of views in the presence of all heads of delegations” and “discussions on various topics in a narrower format”.

Great attention will be paid to global interests and the interests individual states, such as nuclear safety, food security, and humanitarian aspects.

As reported, China and countries from the Global South (including Brazil, India, and South Africa) were invited to the Peace Summit. Chinese Ambassador to Switzerland Wang Shihting did not rule out China’s participation in the Peace Summit.

At the same time, the Russian Federation has refused to participate in the Peace Summit in any way.
