Over the March 22-24 weekend, Russia carried out one of its largest attacks on Ukraine.

In their attack on Ukraine, Russia launched 151 separate aerial weapons with a total cost of $677M. Ukraine’s defenses destroyed 55 drones and 37 missiles.

As a result of the attack, energy facilities and gas transmission networks belonging to both state and private companies were damaged, and emergency power cuts were introduced in eight regions.

The Russians attacked Ukraine’s largest hydroelectric plant – DniproHPP in Zaporizhzhia, hitting it with eight missiles. As a result, Ukrhydroenergo lost 20% of its capacity.

Among the struck cities, Kharkiv lost electricity due to the attack.

Moreover, on the morning of March 24, Russia struck an underground gas storage facility owned by the Naftogaz Group in western Ukraine during a missile and drone attack, underlining threats to the country’s energy system posed by war. Moreover, a Russian rocket flew into the territory of Poland, stayed in the sky over Poland for 39 seconds, and changed its course to Lviv.

The port infrastructure of the Danube region also came under attack. That night, air defenses destroyed 43 of 57 enemy air targets over Ukraine.
