During the war, three wind power plants with a total capacity of over 200 MW have been built in Ukraine.
Chairman of the Board of the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association (UWEA) Andriy Konechenkov clarified: these are the Tyligul wind farm of DTEK (114 MW, Mykolaiv region), the 60 MW second stage of Elementum Energy’s Dniester wind farm in Odesa and the third Eko Optima station in the Lviv region. Five of its turbines are already operating, and five more will be connected this week. 54.6 MW of power will be introduced.
At the same time, he noted that the total installed capacity of Ukraine’s wind power plants is 1.86 GW, of which 71%, or 1.317 GW, are currently occupied. According to the head of UWEA, the largest capacity under occupation belongs to the DTEK company, 498 MW.
He also clarified the current number of damaged wind turbines: “There are about 10 damaged turbines, six in the occupied territory, four in the Mykolayiv region”.
