A Ukrainian AI startup has attracted $1M in investment.

 Ukrainian start-up Respeecher, which creates voices for Hollywood and AAA games using artificial intelligence, has announced an investment from entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk and investment funds including ffVC Poland, SID Venture Partners, Bad Ideas, and ICU. Raised funds will be used to scale and further develop the ethical direction of the startup.

The startup became famous thanks to the reproduction of the voices of Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker for the “Star Wars” series, and in 2023, the voice of Victor Vector for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. Respeecher will also be reproducing the voice of Edith Piaf for a Warner Music biopic. In 2021, the startup won an Emmy Award for producing the voice of US President Nixon in the documentary, In Event of Moon Disaster.

In the previous round, the startup attracted $3M in investment from Techstars, Comcast, ffVC, Technexus, Acrobator, and ICU. Today, the total amount of investment is $4M.
