Ukraine will receive almost ₴10B in additional aid from partners.
According to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Norway will provide $190M, and $70M will be allocated by Switzerland for aid to Ukraine. These grants will be provided through funds administered by the World Bank Group. In addition, Shmyhal said that Ukraine will receive a loan from the World Bank for almost $1.1B.
“The support that the government will direct to social payments, education, medicine, and other priority needs is critical now,” the prime minister said.
“Help from Ukraine’s partners allows Ukraine to endure and direct all its internal resources to the defense and security of our country. Also, Ukraine will receive almost €162M from the EIB within the framework of valid programs for Ukraine’s recovery“, Shmyhal added.
These funds will finance the construction of schools, hospitals, kindergartens, administrative buildings, health centers, sewage treatment plants, and other facilities.
