The UK and Germany are ready to help Ukraine in reconstruction, even before the end of the war.
The Ministry of Reconstruction, with the support of the UK government, announced a competition to select Ukrainian communities to help them develop recovery plans within the framework of the joint project, Early Recovery of Ukraine. Ten territorial communities affected by Russian aggression will be helped to prepare recovery and development plans and the corresponding project and estimate documentation.
At the same time, Jochen Flasbarth, who serves as the German government’s commissioner for Ukraine’s reconstruction, announced that Germany will allocate an additional €200M for reconstruction. According to him, the money will be directed to education, health care, restoration of drinking water supply, and reconstruction of cities.
Within the framework of this international project for the reconstruction of Ukrainian cities, Germany will provide financial support for the creation of a master plan for the restoration of Mykolaiv.
