Ukraine is launching a grain corridor with Romania, which already transits 60% of grain exports.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that a new grain corridor for exporting Ukrainian grain through Moldova to Romania should be operational soon.
“In the Ukraine-Romania-Moldova triangle, we will create a powerful basis for the development of our countries and the whole of Europe. We have already achieved good results in the development of logistics in this triangle,” Zelenskyy said.
He also emphasized that the cooperation between Ukraine, Romania, and Moldova provides a significant stimulus for developing business, infrastructure, and jobs, and that together the states become stronger.
President of Romania Klaus Iohannis added that almost 60% of the total volume of Ukrainian grain exports is transported through Romania. Since the beginning of the war, the volume of transit has already exceeded 27 million tons.
