Biden assures NATO and the G7 allies of further US support for Ukraine, and the Pentagon announces its readiness to hand over ATACMS.

On Tuesday morning, US President Joe Biden spoke with the leaders and foreign ministers of US allies amid uncertainty about further military aid to Ukraine. The White House says the call was intended to “coordinate our ongoing support for Ukraine”.

In his turn, Polish President Andrzej Duda said that Biden informed his allies about the situation in the US regarding Ukraine and called for continued assistance to Ukraine.

After the conversation, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg emphasized that the partners are “committed to supporting Ukraine as long as it takes”.

Meanwhile, the US Department of Defense has announced provision of its long-range ATACMS missiles equipped with cluster munitions to Ukraine as soon as President Joe Biden approves their transfer.
