Ukrainian builders are increasing the number of buildings put into operation.
The indicator increased 1.4 times over a half year compared to the same period in 2022, up to 3.59 million square meters. According to the State Statistics Service, in 2023 2.03 million square meters have been put into operation (56.3% of the total volume), which is 25% more than last year’s figure, in rural areas – 1.57 million square meters, which is almost twice as much as last year’s value.
A total of 44,200 apartments (+61%) were commissioned. These were spread across cities – 26,400 apartments (+25%), and villages – 17,700 apartments, and is 2.5 times higher than the figure for the same period in 2022.
The most significant number of housing units was introduced in Kyiv, and the Kyiv region (16.5%), Vinnytsia region, Lviv region, Ivano-Frankivsk region, and Zakarpattia region. Growth in the volume of housing introduction was recorded in all areas of Ukraine except for three regions: Poltava (-41.2%), Chernihiv (-39%), and Zhytomyr (-11.2%).
