The American forecast for the harvest and export of Ukrainian grains has increased.
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) updated its forecast for the balance of major agricultural crops for the 2023/2024 marketing year, in which it increased the indicators of production and export of Ukrainian wheat and corn against its previous forecast last month.
In particular, wheat and corn production indicators will increase by one million tons to 17.5 million tons and by 2.5 million tons to 24.5 million tons, respectively. The expected export indicators for wheat and corn rose as well, by 500,000 tons, up to 10.5 million tons, and by 2.5 million tons, up to 19 million tons, respectively.
World forecasts for wheat and maize for 2023/2024 also predict an increase in production, trade, consumption, and ending stocks against previous forecasts.
