A new defense technology accelerator has been launched in Ukraine.
An accelerator for defense startups, Dare to Defend Democracy (D3), will focus on teams and projects in the early stages, concentrating in Ukraine. The fund’s initial volume was $10M, but it has already exceeded $30M.
The project is designed to help Ukraine win the war through technology and turn the resulting solutions into global success stories. The accelerator is based in Ukraine and is the key determinant for the future of defense technologies.
The D3 accelerator will invest in the following areas: military technology, drones, communication, navigation, air defense, EW/ERP, munitions accuracy, cybertech, infrastructure protection, vulnerability detection, AI, intelligence, simulation, disinformation and propaganda, and military digitalization.
Participation in the program provides start-up funding of $125,000 and various forms of organizational support. Representatives from the accelerator promise they will cooperate closely with the armed forces.
